 Moxie turned SEVEN, wow! There's a subtropic swimming pool with two cool slides in the town Goes. So for Moxie's Birthday we went swimming there. It wasn't really busy so we had a whole bunch of big floats to play with in the pool. The two slides were such a big hit with Moxie and Bryony. Jasper did not want anything to do with them so Rip and I took turns going down sometimes alone, sometimes with the two older kids (I hate to admit it but I'm kinda scared of these contraptions so I always went with Bryony or Moxie). Inside the least scary tunnel slide is a section that is completely dark except for tiny lights (looks like stars). The really scary slide has a section where you go straight down and then get disoriented by strobing lights. At the end of the tunnel slide you emerge with a big splash and a mouth full of water if you don't close it fast enough. We had a blast and made a splash! Now that the kids are back in school Moxie had his Birthday party for his school friends. Rico, Yarno, Luke and Lukas came over to eat waffles with strawberries and cream. They got a bit carried trying to outdo each other and put about 4 inches of cream on top of their waffles. Boys will be boys. After lunch they went to the petting farm and indoor play area. They came back exhausted but happy.
